Welcome to the Creative Initiative for Enterprise Development (CIfED), a beacon of hope and transformation in the Teso sub-region of Uganda. Established in 2013, CIfED is a dynamic social enterprise dedicated to addressing the pressing challenges brought about by escalating poverty levels. Our footprint extends across the districts of Kaberamaido, Soroti, and Serere, where we tirelessly work to empower vulnerable farming communities, with a particular focus on women and youth.

EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES
BACKGROUND
CIfED was born out of the necessity to respond to the profound challenges faced by households in the Teso sub-region. Poverty, particularly in vulnerable farming communities, has spurred us into action. We champion integrated approaches, supporting communities to become more self-reliant and regain control of their own development. Our primary focus is on women and youth, who often grapple with limited access to resources and bargaining power.
